Riga to host annual Burger Festival

The annual Riga Burger Festival will take place on 11 and 12 August 2023 in Esplanade Park Square. The festival is expected to bring together representatives of several burger eateries and restaurants from all over Latvia to compete for the title of the tastiest burger, informs the portal balticevents.info.

A special celebration programme will take place in Esplanade Square over two days:

- 18:00 Awards for the best burger of the 'Festival'

"Every year, more than 10 thousand people from several cities of the country attend the event, as well as guests from abroad. The aim of the festival has always been to showcase burgers not only as fast food, but as a cult food and a whole culture already integrated into modern cuisine," says Edgars Svencs, the organiser of the Riga Burger Festival.

The closing ceremony of the festival will feature a traditional gala concert with local artists. According to the organisers, each year the audience only gets to know the participants when they perform on stage. In the history of the festival, the following musicians have already performed: Bad Habit, Peterson, Keksi, Mārins Balodis and many others.
