Riga to host Cocktail Festival in August

Riga Cocktail Festival

On 26 August 2023, the Riga Cocktail Festival (Riga Cocktail Festival) will take place in Riga, on the 2nd floor of Jēkaba Arcade and its adjacent areas.

The festival is organised under the World Cocktail Championships gold medal winning cocktail master Stanislavs Jonans.

The aim of the event is to contribute to educating the public about responsible, quality cocktail consumption, alternative to mocktails and to introduce the latest trends in the world of cocktails and beverages.

The event programme will include masterclasses on proper home cocktail making, mocktails and aperitifs, as well as an introduction to global trends.

The festival will be represented by various world-famous alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage brands, whose stands will be open to guests to sample their products and cocktails.

"I wanted to create an event that would bring together industry experts and professionals, cocktail enthusiasts and those who want to learn more about making cocktails at their parties or at home. Special attention will be paid to the masterclass programme, educating and giving the opportunity to taste drinks and spend quality time.

Given the significantly growing interest in cocktail culture and seeing how much it has developed abroad, it was clear to our team that it was only a matter of time before such an event would appear in Latvia," says Stanislavs Jonāns, 2022 World Cocktail Champion.

In the spirit of responsible drinking, guests will be provided with drinking water and there will be a catering area in the passage between the Barracks and the car park. There will be event zoning with the possibility to buy tickets with a seat at the table.

The event will be hosted by Ansis Ancovs and the music will be provided by DJ All-all. The festival will close with a DJ performance and a concert by Žoržs Siksna.

The event will also include a cocktail competition "Riga Cocktail Master" between well-known public figures. More information and the event programme will soon be available on the festival's Facebook profile.

Staņislavs Jonāns is a local cocktail master with 17 years of experience in the industry, having won gold in the Low ABV category at the World Cocktail Championships in November 2022 with his cocktail "Descendant", as well as the title of Latvian Bartender Champion in 2016.

Staņislavs Jonāns is the owner of the restaurant "Brandīns", where for seven years he has been offering his guests delicious food and sophisticated cocktails combined with a family and memorable atmosphere.
