In just one week, on 4 and 5 August 2023, Liepāja will host the largest beach festival in the Baltics "Summer Sound 2023", which last year attracted a record number of visitors. This year, the festival organisers have again prepared a wide programme of concerts and entertainment options, as well as easier transport, a children's playground and other amenities.
To get to the festival you can use not only your own personal transport, but also, as in previous years, you can easily get to Liepāja with the special "Summer Sound" train extra trains of JSC "Pasažieru Vilciens". For exact departure times, please follow the festival's social networks.
This year, DPD Latvija, the festival's friends, have also arranged for free delivery of your belongings to the festival's door. Pick-up in Liepāja will be at the DPD pick-up point at the festival VIP car park. More information and application for free courier services will be available on the festival website soon.
The tent city will be open from Thursday, 3 August at 17:00 and will remain open until Sunday, 6 August at 15:00. The camping site will be equipped with toilets and showers, there will also be catering and a bar, as well as a dance floor. Video surveillance will also be carried out throughout the festival area, including in the tent cities, for added security.
This year, the festival has introduced a deposit system for drinks glasses, which means that visitors can buy a deposit glass with their first drink at any point of sale, which can be reused or exchanged for a new one at no extra cost. When leaving the site, the glass can either be kept as a souvenir or exchanged for one of the vouchers - a discount voucher for 2024 Summer Sound tickets or a Narvesen voucher, which can be used at any festival wristband exchange point or Info Centre across Latvia. There will also be an opportunity to donate this amount to the Ukrainian Events Association's project "Music Saves UA".

Children from the age of 4 can leave their parents unsupervised in the Children's Town, and this service will be available for an additional fee - tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the Children's Town.
