Estonia's only Subway restaurant is thriving, but not everyone can get in

In 2022, almost all restaurants of the fast food chain Subway left Estonia, unable to recover from the pandemic. Only one remained, which is now thriving, writes Err.ee.

Perhaps Subway's location helps: the departures terminal at Tallinn Airport, where only people with boarding passes can get in. There are currently eight employees.

Subway's turnover was EUR 24 000 in the second quarter of last year and EUR 99 000 in the second quarter of 2023.
