If you're planning a short trip around Estonia, here's a place to include in your itinerary if you happen to pass by - the Tuhala Witches' Well.
The mysterious attraction is located 40 kilometres from Tallinn.
The area around the well is mostly dry, but of course it is most interesting only at certain times, namely during the floods, when the water starts to roll over the sides of the well.
Sometimes you can see this scene with your own eyes for just a few days, and sometimes for weeks.
Folklore has it that the witches' well boils when the Tuhul witches are hatching in the well. Whatever the case, this place has a special aura.
According to Visit Estonia, the well is 2.4 metres deep, but because of the marshy surroundings, the water in the well is slightly brownish.
