The first self-portrait wall in Riga

The first publicly accessible selfie wall in Riga has been created on the second floor of the fashion and entertainment centre Riga Plaza.

The new wall gives visitors the opportunity to take a selfie against one of 19 different backgrounds. Each background is dedicated to a specific theme, allowing visitors to take a selfie with angel wings, a space theme, with dolphins, etc. Thanks to the selfie wall, people can take interesting and creative photos for free, which they can then post on their social networks or print out and save in a photo album.

"Selfie walls, studios and even museums have recently become very popular around the world, given the rapid growth in the use of social media. The wall provides new experiences and opportunities for selfie lovers and content creators. We are pleased to be able to offer our visitors an unprecedented entertainment option in Riga, thus possibly starting a new trend across Latvia," says Irīna Toropova, Director of Asset Management at Colliers, the manager of Riga Plaza.

The selfie wallpapers are colourful and versatile - they offer the opportunity to pose in space, food or optical illusion themes, with angel wings, underwater with dolphins, graffiti and other styles of backdrops. The location is perfect for self portraits alone or fun photos with friends. The Selfie Wall is free for everyone to use, and the only tools needed to create a result are a personal smartphone or camera.

"Riga Plaza is a great place to take Instagram-worthy selfies - 19 different photo walls will allow everyone to find the most suitable background to create a variety of interesting and memorable photos, as well as new adventures with friends," says social media content creator Karlīna Kramiņa.
