A unique spa complex opens in Ķesterciems, just an hour's drive from Riga

Albatross Home, a popular residential complex in Ķesterciems, 200 metres from the sea, has opened a new range of services in the Spa Wellness area for rest and relaxation. The Albatross Resort services are available to all guests and residents of the complex with the opportunity to enjoy a unique holistic wave therapy on a water bed, swimming in the pool, cedar sauna, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

According to the project authors Andrejs Tarasovs and Līga Lapsale: "The project was created with the aim of offering a modern residential environment, while preserving Ķesterciems as an attractive place to live close to nature and integrating opportunities for active recreation and relaxation. In the future, residents of the complex, as well as residents and guests of the surrounding area, will be able to enjoy the full services of the complex and relax in a quiet, beautiful and comfortable environment. The physical and emotional health of the residents of our project is our main goal and value."

The Albatross Resort will be a suitable destination for couples and families with children, as the spa complex offers a wide range of services.

Special holistic wave therapy on a water bed

The newly opened Wellness area offers a range of spa treatments - massages, body scrubs, body wraps and apparatus treatments - inspired by Latvia's natural resources and the presence of the sea. Treatments also include a unique holistic wave therapy on a bed of water, which feels like being bathed in a cradle of warm water. Treatments use the highest quality professional spa cosmetics made in Latvia.

Unique cedar sauna and outdoor whirlpools

After the treatments, clients can relax on a specially built spa terrace, located in the open air surrounded by pine trees. The two phyto-sauna terraces in the area with the healing properties of cedar wood are unique for maintaining and restoring health, purifying the body and even treating various diseases. After a visit to the sauna, guests can cool off in the cold pool, which can be cooled down to +4 °C, or warm up in the outdoor hot tubs, which have an average temperature of +35 to +37 °C during the autumn and winter months.

Swimming lessons for children with a certified coach

The 25-metre swimming pool is suitable for active swimming, while the pool with an average temperature of +32 °C is particularly suitable for babies and children. Both pools also offer swimming lessons for children with a certified trainer, while adults can take Aqua Fitness classes. The spa complex includes a sauna and Turkish bath, a modern, premium fitness room and physiotherapy for children and adults, as well as a wide range of spa treatments.
